Hey there! Important to know is that all the bikes shown on this page are currently in the pre-restoration phase — they have yet to be worked on, keep that in mind. The prices displayed are for the bikes fully restored as *base build*.
Our base build includes a full restoration of the bike, where we meticulously check and adjust every component to ensure everything works like a breeze. We also replace all the cables with new stainless steel inner cables and install new quality parts such as the cassette and chain to provide smooth shifting and braking. We keep the original groupset, either 3×7 or 3×8 gears (3 / tripple chainring in the front, 7 or 8 cassette in the back), depending on the bike. We refurbish the groupset completely — if they need replacing we’ll let you know in advance.
Additionally, we keep the straight handlebars, but replace the contact points such as the saddle and grips for your comfort and to have that ‘like new’ feeling.
The tyres of choice for the base build are the reliable 2.2″ / 55mm Continental Race King’s. These tyres can be seen on many of the builds — for a reason. They’re suited to be used both in the city and on gravel and are both grippy and fast rolling, with puncture protection.
Finally, every bike is polished and sprayed with a protective coating. If you choose to go for the ‘base build’, you still have a lot of options when it comes to choosing the details of the bike, to make it suit your style. For instance, you can choose the cable color.
If you want to customize your bike further, we’ve got you covered. You can add options like mudguards, racks, baskets, different handlebars, grips, pedals, 1x gearing, different tyres or saddle. Just contact us, and we’ll be happy to build your dream bike to your specifications.
Sizing
From our experience, the sizing of these bikes is pretty flexible. If you’re looking for a more playful and agile ride, you might consider going a bit smaller and compensating with riser handlebars. It’ll show a bit more seatpost as you sit higher but it looks good.
On the other hand, if you’re planning on going on longer tours and want a more comfortable, upright position, you could go for a slightly larger bike — this could also work for city use. Don’t worry if you’re not sure which size to choose — contact us and we’ll help you out.
